10 hours in a plane was not my idea of fun. My son loved it, slept bits of it and then we were off and in Miami International Airport, through security and standing out side of our newly rented pickup rented by Alamo.

So aan interesting thing about pickups, or to me anyway. You can have the same model but different bed size (the bit at the back). This is important to us as we’re planning to use it as a tent base. Asked the guy if it’s the 6ft model he says yes. I’m not so sure but was tired, desperate to get on so started the beast and drove with clenched but cheeks onto the motorway (interstate) to get to the Motel.

Before we checked in to Deerfield Ocean Villas. Miami we swung to a Walmart. Grabbed so bed clothes, food and reached the Motel at 11pm. Time for zzzzzzzzz. First day over and saw a lot of dark roads lol.
